Verium AG to expand family office services and acquiring a majority interest in Consularis AG

Verium AG has acquired a majority interest in the multi-family office Consularis AG, Zurich. At the same time, Dr. Alexander Krebs has been appointed new Chairman of the Board of Verium AG. The resulting concentration of know-how creates an enhanced scope of consulting and management capabilities for innovative family investors and entrepreneurs.

Verium expanding its range of services to clients


The know-how in the Swiss family office environment is about to be significantly consolidated: Zurich-based Verium AG, a multi-family office specialising in providing a full range of consulting services to affluent families and entrepreneurs, has acquired a majority interest in Consularis AG, Zurich. Consularis, also engaged in multi-family office activities, is a diversified, independent consulting and advisory firm focusing on the long-term preservation, growth and control of family assets. The company has proven expertise and extensive experience in national and international legal and tax advisory services, succession planning, trust structures and protector functions as well as family governance.

Strengthened Verium team


The following are now the Managing Partners of Verium: Dr. Matthias Huber (previously majority owner and Managing Partner of Verium), Markus Heeb (previously majority owner and Managing Partner of Consularis) and Dr. Alexander Krebs, who has also been appointed Chairman of the Board. Dr. Alexander Krebs has over 25 years of professional experience in equity investing. He was a founding partner and Chairman of the Board of Capvis Equity Partners AG for many years. Since 2010 he has been focusing primarily on medium-sized businesses via Valincor Management AG. He also serves on the board of a number of established companies in Switzerland. The combined spectrum of competencies of Verium and Consularis, which will both continue to operate as independent firms, is enhanced by an existing network of consultants.
